Replacing an entire roof is a significant undertaking. We were fortunate that this team provided guidance and coordination for the entire project.  Mathew's initial review and engagement were well organised and communicated. He also provided great suggestions and quality options which significantly improved the appearance and durability of the final result delivering a premium fit and finish. On site, the entire crew was focused, efficient, and clearly well-trained. Ray was the primary mentor to all and subsequently actioned a hands-on approach to ensure all of the followup details were completed. He continued to improve the final outcome until all tasks delivered the excellence he wanted to achieve. The neighbours have already commented how great and well-built the roof looks. Tip for future clients: We had cleared around the property to improve access. Fortified Roofing did an exceptional job replacing our old asbestos roof and installing a beautiful new roof. The transformation is amazing—the whole house now looks fresh, modern and so much more attractive. We could not be happier with the final result.

From start to finish, the team was professional, knowledgeable and genuinely committed to quality. With more than 50 years of roofing experience across three generations, their expertise was clear at every stage. They gave us honest, practical advice and always recommended what would provide the best outcome for our home and our long-term interests.

A very special thank you to Ray. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with him and was deeply impressed by his 50 years of industry knowledge. Even more importantly, I admired his outlook on life, the respect and kindness with which he treats people, his belief in supporting one another and his commitment to giving back to the community. He is a genuinely experienced, thoughtful and inspiring person.

I engaged Fortified Roofing Group to complete a full roof replacement on my Queenslander, including new roofing, gutters and downpipes.
There were definitely some positives. The finished roof looks significantly better than before, Matthew remained accessible throughout the project, and when concerns were raised the company returned to site on multiple occasions to undertake additional works and rectifications.
The overall experience, however, was more involved than I had anticipated. Prior to works commencing, I had hoped to meet with a representative on site to discuss colour selections, project scope and expectations in greater detail. Communication was at times limited leading up to installation, and I ultimately found myself selecting roof colours from photographs shortly before works commenced, which felt somewhat rushed given the significance of the investment.
There were also occasions where concerns raised via email required repeated follow-up before a response was received, and in some instances responses were not received at all. More consistent communication throughout the project would have provided greater confidence and reduced the need for ongoing follow-up.
I was also unaware of the extent of the fascia issues until the time came for the gutter installation works. With the benefit of hindsight, identifying these matters earlier may have assisted with planning and helped reduce some of the challenges encountered later.
A further challenge was the overall duration of the project. My understanding was that the roof replacement would take approximately three days to complete, however, works commenced in late March and were still being finalised in late June. While I appreciate that delays can occur, the project ultimately took much longer than I had expected.
As works progressed, I arranged independent roof inspections twice at various stages and at my own expense to obtain additional peace of mind regarding the quality of the installation. The inspections identified a number of items requiring attention, many of which were subsequently addressed. While I appreciate Fortified’s willingness to rectify these matters, I had hoped more of them may have been identified through internal quality assurance processes before completion.
Another concern related to the wall cladding adjacent to the awning area. Following removal of the original awning and installation of the replacement awning, deterioration in sections of the wall cladding became apparent. My understanding is that the original awning may have concealed some of these issues from view, although it was nevertheless disappointing to discover additional repairs were required.
The guttering and downpipe installation also generated some concerns. During recent rainfall, I observed water entering gaps adjacent to newly installed guttering and downpipe locations, along with water running from fascia areas above the stairs. These observations have been raised and I continue to monitor the situation.
Site presentation and clean-up were also below my expectations. Despite several requests, I did not feel the site was ultimately restored to the standard I had anticipated following completion of the works.
One aspect I had not anticipated was the level of involvement required from my side. I spent considerable time documenting concerns, arranging inspections, corresponding with contractors and certifiers, and following up on outstanding items. For a project of this scale, I had expected a more streamlined process.
That said, I also want to acknowledge that Fortified Roofing continued to engage with the process. They attended multiple return visits, completed various rectification works and ultimately achieved certification for the project. I do not believe the company intentionally sought to avoid its obligations, and I recognise that construction challenges can arise on complex renovation projects.
Overall, my experience was mixed. The roof looks much better, but communication, delays and the need for ongoing follow-up affected my overall satisfaction.

Fortified Roofing Group just finished a full roof replacement on our home and we couldn’t be happier. The crew was on site every day, worked efficiently, and kept us updated and in the loop the whole time. They stripped the old tiles, replaced damaged battens, installed new sarking, installed new Colorbond and the new roof looks awesome. No mess left behind and the job was finished ahead of schedule. I had my roof & guttering replaced recently and I couldn’t have asked for a better job.  Ray, Matt & crew worked tirelessly to get the job done.  They did an Excellent job!
