Bellbird Park Project – Metal Roof Replacement

PRODUCTS USED

DUNE CORRUGATED ROOFING, COLORBOND 150MM WOODLAND GREY HIGHFRONT GUTTERS

OUR WORK IN ACTION

Our team at the Fortified Roofing Group, recently completed a tile roof replacement project in Bellbird Park. The homeowners reached out to us after a major rain event hit Brisbane and their old tile roof could not handle the flow of water, resulting in internal damage. This is a common issue that we hear about every day, and it’s why we believe that a metal roofing system is far superior to tile roofs.

We upgraded the framing with structural tie-downs and new steel battens, as per the requirements of our building certification partners and the guidelines outlined by our engineer. We also installed new Colorbond 150mm high-front quad gutters and additional downpipes to cope with larger than average rainfall events. This would ensure that the roof would be fortified for decades to come.

We started by removing the old tile roof and replacing it with a new Colorbond metal roof and associated flashings per Australian building code. The metal roofing system was designed to withstand heavy rainfall and provide maximum protection to the home. We made sure to follow the guidelines and recommendations outlined by our engineer and building certification partners. The new roof was then installed with precision and care, ensuring that it would last for many years to come.

Benefits of the Colorbond Roofing Solution

Durability: Colorbond is renowned for its durability, providing long-lasting protection against the elements. The Woodland Grey color option adds a touch of elegance and modernity to the property while ensuring resistance to chipping, peeling, and cracking.

Aesthetics: Colorbond Woodland Grey sheeting and guttering enhance the overall curb appeal of the property. The sleek finish and diverse range of colors make it a versatile choice that complements various architectural styles.

Energy Efficiency: The installation of Anticon wool blanket improves the thermal efficiency of the property. By providing better insulation, it helps maintain a comfortable interior temperature, reducing the reliance on heating and cooling systems and potentially lowering energy costs.

Low Maintenance: Colorbond sheeting and guttering require minimal maintenance, saving homeowners time and money. They are resistant to rust, fading, and peeling, ensuring a roof that maintains its attractive appearance with minimal effort.

Why Choose Fortified Roofing Group?

The new metal roofing system not only provided protection against heavy rainfall but also offered several benefits over tile roofs. Metal roofs are more durable and long-lasting, requiring less maintenance compared to tile roofs. They are also more resistant to damage from heavy rainfall, hail, and wind, making them a more reliable option. The metal roofing system also provides energy-saving benefits, as it reflects heat and reduces the amount of energy needed to cool the home during hot weather.

The homeowners were extremely satisfied with the tile roof replacement project we completed. They were impressed with our professionalism and expertise in completing the project in a timely and efficient manner. The homeowners were also pleased with the new metal roofing system, which provided them with the peace of mind that their home was protected from heavy rainfall and other environmental elements.
