Indooroopilly Project: A Reliable and Safe Asbestos Roof Replacement

Overcoming the Challenges of a Complex Roofing System

The Fortified Roofing Group was faced with a unique challenge in Indooroopilly – to replace a roof composed of both Asbestos sheeting and Decramastic tiles with a modern and efficient metal roof. Our experienced team was up for the task and committed to delivering a seamless and safe replacement that would leave the homeowners with a durable and beautiful roof.

Our first step was to remove the ageing and damaged Decramastic tiles, which were comprised of pressed metal. We worked quickly and efficiently to complete this task and weatherproof the home overnight, ensuring that the Asbestos removal team could safely proceed the next day. As roofing specialists, we understand the importance of following regulations and obtaining proper building and engineering certifications when removing asbestos. Our homeowners were confident in our expertise and trusted that their home would be safe and secure with the new metal roofing system in place.

Selecting the Ideal Metal Roof for Indooroopilly

The homeowners were drawn to the look, ease and durability of Zincalume for their metal roof replacement in Indooroopilly, and we were pleased with their choice. Zincalume is a popular option for metal roofing, as it offers numerous benefits, including sustainability, longevity and attractive appearance.

However, the homeowners were aware that the insulation benefits of the previous asbestos roof were critical for maintaining comfort in their home, especially during the hot months in Brisbane. We suggested adding anticon wool blankets to their roof, which would enhance the roof’s thermal and acoustic properties, keep the home cooler, and provide a comfortable living environment for the homeowners.
