The Gap Project – Metal Roof Replacement

OUR WORK IN ACTION

Our team was contacted by the family of an elderly lady living in The Gap. She had a home with an aging asbestos roof and had been dealing with water leakage over the last few months. Her family felt it was time to get rid of her unsafe asbestos roof. They came to us for asbestos roof removal and metal roofing service in The Gap.

Removing an asbestos roof safely and according to regulations can be a complicated process. Building and engineering certifications are required to ensure that the building will be structurally sound. As asbestos roofs are very heavy, engineers need to look at the existing frame to ensure that it’s able to take the lighter metal roof and remain safe and secure for those living in it.

Our Fortified Roofing metal roofing team have the experience to navigate all these requirements, and we were happy to do so for our customers in The Gap. We organised the building and engineering reviews and certifications. We removed the asbestos roof according to the highest standards of occupational health and safety. And we installed the new metal roofing systems to ensure the homeowner was left with a beautiful, safe and long-lasting roof and home.

Benefits of the Zincalume Roofing Solution

The homeowner and her family chose a new Zincalume metal roof for their metal roof replacement in The Gap because of its many benefits, including:

Protect your investment with a top-of-the-line roofing system.
Save thousands on unnecessary roof repairs.
Feel confident knowing your building looks great.
Know your home will be safe and secure for years to come.

Also, we were able to install the Zincalume Klip Lok system on the flat roof over the veranda. This area of the roof had previously been under the required pitch limit. But with the Zincalume roof, which has a much higher rib, we were able to bring that roof in line with regulations.

The customers and the homeowners were universally thrilled with the results, both from a health and safety perspective and because the new metal roof just looked good. And we were thrilled to be able to give that to them.
